The much earlier freeware version of this game from Grassgames allowed the player to choose the level to start from; is it possible to choose the starting level on Cubes? |

No, I removed that feature and made the level 1 startup speed higher to be more aligned with the original arcade version.
Version 2.1 is now freeware again by the way. |
