When does the error appear exactly ? Is a log file generated (check the Start Menu under Programs, Solitiare 3D, Log File) ? |

| Tried to run the program in Vista Business. 32 bit OS and get the Solitare_DX9.exe has stopped working. Tried to locate the log file to examine but no luck. |

I've tried it myself on Vista and all works fine, so can't reproduce the problem. A few questions - Does the startup resolution window appear at all when you double click the Solitaire 3D icon on the desktop? Does "Free Solitaire 3D" work ok ? Click the "Home" link above to download it. Also ensure you are running the latest version of the game. |

I also sometimes get the "Solitare_DX9.exe has stopped working" failure. Other times, the solitaire game plays OK. I'm running Vista Home Basic. At seemingly random times I get the "Resolution Notice For best picture change resolution to..." (I may not have transcribed this 100% correctly). Ironically enough, the resolution that it recommends is the current resolution of my PC's display. |

| All Grassgame programs have suddenly stopped working with the message "solitaire_DX9 has stopped working....", substituting the name of the other game (table tennis pro v2, etc.). Reinstall doesn't change. Vista Home Premium SP1, DirectX 10, all updates on Sony VAIO notebook. Any cures? |

This is a Vista only problem I think - you need to turn off the "Data Execution Prevention" option for the program file that you are running - I'll fix this up in later versions so this is not necessary. Here's the information on how to turn this option off from Microsoft: "1. Open System by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System. 2. Click Advanced System Settings. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. Under Performance, click Settings. 4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. To turn off DEP for an individual program: Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for, and then click OK. If the program is not in the list, click Add. Browse to the Program Files folder, find the executable file for the program (it will have an .exe file extension), and then click Open." Note the program you need to add is usually called "Dx9Lancher.exe" or similar, and is located usually in "C:/Program Files/(game name)" or "C:/Program Files/GrassGames/(game name)". |

| Following suggestion in forum, downloaded "Free Solitaire". It loads properly. |
