There may not be points for 2nd place but today I played (poorly) came in 4th 3 times and lost 1 point each time. Last game I came in 2nd and lost 2 points. What is the deal there??

Hey Aidan,
It says right at the bottom of the game that the scoring is +1 for playing and +2 for coming in place. I have lost (come in 2nd against higher ranked players) and continue to lose l or 2 points. What gives. The only way to get points is to win?

I have the download but yet to install, Catalina 64bit MacOS. Do you have a firm date and will the data carry over? I will hold off on the install until there is an answer but I have other programs to worry about.

Rankings are not as advertised. First, you do not get +2pts. for playing. I have now come in 2nd X 5games and 3rd X 1. This last against Django and Yoda. In the award category (points), would it not be fair to have sliding scale say of 1st=15, 2nd=8 and 3rd=3 and 4th=minus 4. This would keep the animosity down that I have seen on some boards, be fair to account for sheer luck in hands and give those that continue to play frequently a reason to do so....
