Re: Starter Card
the same way you do Actually I'm Irish :-) But the game tries to keep to the American standard to keep the majority happy. That board you mentioned is in the game when you play short games - I'll look into adding an option to allow play on it for long games. 4 (and 3) player cribbage has been reque...

Re: Starter Card
I believe there are differences between English rules and American rules - I read something about being dealt five cards instead of six and only discarding one not two. Is this true? Anything else different?

Re: Starter Card
Yes looks like you are right - from wikipedia:
The player on the dealer's left cuts the undealt portion of the deck (leaving at least 4 cards), and the dealer reveals the top card, called the "starter", placing it on top of the deck face up.
I'll add it to the ToDo list for the next version.

Nice hand
Pity about the texts - will try to fix that up and look into the skunks for some future version.

Accessing log files
Here's the location of the Log files for games. You may need to access these if you encounter problems. Log files are also available from the "About" screen in some games. An alternative way of viewing game logs on Macs is explained in the second post. Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) : Go to Finder From the ma...

Re: Hearts AI
Good to hear its not so often. I improved the AI in the last version (Macs/PCs), but it still needs work in some situations. I'll add the cards played output to the logfile in the next version.

Re: Solitaire 3D games missing cards
This problem may be fixed up in the latest version just released but I'm not sure as haven't been able to reproduce the problem myself. There were a few fixes made that could fix it up though, and some error checking for this problem added also in the latest version.

Re: Application runs slow and crashes since last upgrade
I'm finishing up a new version these days. Now is a good time to send any crash reports if the game is crashing your iPhone or iPod Touch.
See the Generating Crash Reports thread for details.

Re: Card Designs
By the way there have been a few bug fixes to the deck editor within the game in the latest release. Now editing custom pictures should work fine (didn't work before on Macs), and custom pictures auto-update within the deck editor when you save the picture externally. Creating custom card decks is q...

Re: Improving the AI
Great points, thanks. I could do with some more explanation of point 2, but good as is. As for making the computer harder, I mentioned improving the AI for the future muggins feature, in which the only way to implement it that I can see is to give the user a choice of computer opponents to play agai...

Improving the AI
Although there are a lot of posts complaining about the computer getting good cards all the time, nonetheless some (advanced?) players may have noticed that the computer opponent might not be a world master after all. If anyone has noticed situations where the computer does not play great, please po...

Re: Card Designs
If you design your own deck, then in the deck menu you will see a "Print" button. This creates pdfs of your deck for printing out. Its up to you to get the pdf files printed out on proper paper and get them cut, but it can be done, or maybe a local stationary shop could do it for you.

Another point is why? After going to so much trouble to make the game as nice and pleasing as possible, why would I ruin it all by fixing the AI ?
