I e-mailed Brian to find out why I hadn't seen him on line lately. His sister Gail answered the e-mail and informed me that Brian had passed away on February 26th, 2011. Thai came as quite a shock as he was a young man in his early fifties, I believe. Those of us who played cribbage with Brian were always sure to get a worthy opponent, who was a good sport and was always kidding with his chats. He really knew the game and was quite pedantic about the rules. He wanted everyone to score in the proper order of 15s first, then pairs, runs, and flushes. He was always right when he quoted rules and had me looking them up constantly. I will always remember his famous expression when he was far behind in the score: "Time to make my move!" Rest in peace, Brian. We will all miss you friend.

Yes indeed, it is very sad.

He was the second most active person on these forums also after myself, and contributed a lot to making the game better. Small things maybe in the big scheme of life etc., but none-the-less we'll miss him around here for sure.
