I have been trying to host or join a Hearts game since I bought the game from the Apple App Store about four days ago. I have never succeeded, and to my knowledge from what other player in the lobby are saying they have never managed it either. You can set up a game but as soon as you invite somebody it says connecting stage 1 then could not connect. The only person I have been able to connect with has been on my own home server. All these players are on Mac machines, but we have never made it through to play a games against one another. So far a very poor experience.

I see you Blackrose that you just connected to myself and Kate (who hammered me in a previous game) so things are looking better.

Also I invited two players to join my created game and got a connection failed result for both. Then I invited them again straight away and both connections worked, so re-inviting is something people should try.

Furthermore, if you can't invite people to your game, try joining a game instead, as sometimes things work better in one direction than another.

yep it connected then lost the connection. Have also tried joining but connections keep dropping. i will send you some info tomorrow on firewalls I need some info you may have I'll send them in email

As from today all is working well. I don't know if you did anything but the online play suddenly started working. I have not made any changes my end so lets hope it stays like it. If you did do something it worked

I hate problems like that. Been working all day on a problem with a windows machine in the USA, big problem as I am in UK so have to do it remote and I hate windows machines. Anyway just fixed it and that turned out to be a spelling mistake of one letter.
Don't you just hate computers.

Furthermore I have the same problem : no connection to anyone!

It's weird sometimes it is working ok as it has for me for the past couple of days, then it all goes down the pan again and you can't connect to anybody.

I had the strange thing the other day as has been described in this forum already. I hosted a game and no one could join if I invited them they asked and connected straight away. This is getting more like the twilight zone than Hearts.

I am frustrated!
Sometimes it works,most time it doesn't. Sometimes I can chat, sometimes not. Many friends are gaining the same experience.
What shall I do?????

Its helping there, so hopefully it will help some of you also.

Please post any results if you get some.

The latest version, V1.7, will hopefully help with these connection problems. The App Store version is in the review process and hopefully will be ready within a few weeks.
