Local Area Network Only?

Is it possible to open up network play for the LAN only?

The game will use a local network connection if possible, even though all players need to be online to setup the initial connection in the lobby.
Once the connection is setup, and you have left the lobby, the internet connection is no longer needed if all players are playing on the same local network.
