Configuring Routers to Play Multiplayer Games of Table Tennis Pro V2

I've come accross some problems setting up Table Tennis Pro multiplayer games when one of the parties access the internet via a Router.

If someone knows how to set up a router to allow multiplayer games of Table Tennis Pro to work, please let us know by posting a message here.

Note - this is for Version 2 only (as Version 1 used a different system entirely).

I have been working on this for a couple of weeks now. I have found that " Port Fowarding " in your router is a must. TTPro v2 specifies port 60128 and that works great. On my linksys router I had to assign my PC with the TTPro on it a Static address. Which removed it from the local network behind the router. It nows talks directly to the router. Now when the router see the request for port 60128 from the incoming game it will let it through to port 60128 on the assigned PC with the static address. In the setup for port fowarding you have to specify the static IP address as well as the port. Please feel free to email me for any help.

There is a free Virtual Private Network ( VPN ) called Hamachi.com. It will install a private internet side network icon in the Network Connections in control Panel. Both computers must have Hamachi installed. It will assign IP addresses on the internet side of the router. Mine is 5.54.33.66. We played PC to wireless Laptop over the Hamchi network just fine. Trying to play through the router with port forwarding is sometimes harder but should work. I just need someone to connect with to try it. Hamachi is free and great for playing games. When I joined the game I simply put in the router IP and Hamachi took care of the rest. The 2 IP addresses TTPro displays on my Host game screen are the router IP and the Hamachi IP. Any questions please email me. ( 3jbert@comcast.net )
